Homemade Jam Recipe With Ripe Mangoes Without Preservatives


Ingredients

2 ripe mangoes
juice of 1/2  lemon
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
Method
Using a sharp kitchen knife peel the mangoes and cut up into small pieces. Using a hand blender, make a puree with the cut up mangoes.  Transfer the mango puree to a sauce pan and put the pan on the stove.  Put on the stove and stir the puree.  Add the water, lemon juice and sugar.  Adjust heat to high. Stir continuously.  When the mixture begins to boil, adjust the heat again to medium low.  Continue to stir.
The mixture will eventually get nice and thick.  Turn off the stove and allow the jam to cool.  Transfer to a mason jar.
