In this blog post I share how to make a delicious sweet corn bread. I have used this recipe numerous times and each time I am super pleased with the results.👍👍😋😋
Dry Ingredients:
1 cup corn meal
1 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
splash of nutmeg and cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup of evaporated milk
2 eggs
a few drops of Angostura Bitters (optional)
1 15 oz. can cream style corn (I used 1 8.5oz can cream style corn and I am pleased with the results)
In another mixing bowl put the eggs, milk and Angostura bitters. Mix together well.
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and butter. Mix well. Add the cream style corn. Mix.
Grease a baking dish with non stick spray or butter. Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius). Pour the mixture into greased baking dish and put into oven to bake. Baking time 45-50 minutes
